Hyundai has rolled out the Creta Summer Edition in India. Sounds exciting at first. New badge, new buzz. But once you look closer it’s more of a reshuffle than a revolution. Prices start at Rs. 12.05 lakh and stretch up to Rs. 17.88 lakh, ex-showroom. So yeah, wide range. Something for almost every Creta buyer, at least on paper.

EX Summer Edition
It all begins with the EX Summer Edition. This is where Hyundai has added a smart key and push-button start. Small upgrade. But useful. The petrol manual sits at Rs. 12.05 lakh, while the diesel manual goes up to Rs. 13.61 lakh. Basic variant, but now slightly less basic.
EX(O) Summer Edition
Then comes the EX(O) Summer Edition. And this one feels like Hyundai trying a bit harder. You get quad-beam LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, DRLs, a rear camera, even a rear sunshade. Plus the smart key setup continues. Prices? Between Rs. 13.13 lakh and Rs. 16.04 lakh. Depends on what engine and gearbox you pick. Quite a spread actually.
S(O) and S(O) Knight Summer Edition
Now moving up things get a little interesting. The S(O) Summer Edition and the S(O) Knight Summer Edition both come with a dash camera. Yes, factory-fitted. Not something you usually see at this level. The S(O) ranges from Rs. 14.19 lakh to Rs. 17.25 lakh. And the Knight Edition slightly more attitude, priced at Rs. 14.38 lakh for petrol manual and Rs. 15.99 lakh for diesel manual.
SX Summer Edition
The SX Summer Edition adds more tech into the mix. A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster comes in, along with the dashcam. Feels more premium now. Price is Rs. 15.03 lakh for the petrol manual. Not cheap, but not surprising either.
SX Premium Summer Edition
At the top sits the SX Premium Summer Edition. This is where Hyundai throws in everything it can. You get the same 10.25-inch digital cluster, plus surround view monitor, blind-spot view monitor, and front parking sensors. Proper feature-loaded. Prices range from Rs. 16.33 lakh to Rs. 17.88 lakh. Depends on engine choice again.

And yeah, across all these variants, the engine options remain the same. 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. Manual and automatic gearboxes are still there. No changes under the hood. Which is fine but also a bit predictable.
Overall, the Summer Edition feels like Hyundai just reworked the packaging. Added a few features here and there. Gave it a new name. Done. Not a bad thing, just not groundbreaking either.
