Okay, so here’s the thing. Nissan is teasing its upcoming Gravite MPV ahead of the official launch. Latest teaser dropped, and yes, they showed the exterior colours. Gravite is built on the same CMF-A platform as the Renault Triber, but don’t get fooled styling is totally different. Five shades in total. Signature teal looks like it will steal the show. Then there’s the usual white, silver, black and grey. Classic, safe, whatever you want to call it.
Exterior Design Modern But Upright
Front looks sharp. Horizontal LED daytime running lights, sleek headlamps. Grille is wide, has this horizontal chrome thing. Bonnet has some sculpted creases. Gravite lettering boldly on the nose. You see it and you know it’s confident. Different from Triber, no doubt.

Rear is busy. Split LED tail lamps connected by a horizontal insert across the tailgate. Gravite badge sits right in the middle. Upright tailgate, roof spoiler, bumper details make it look chunky. Reminds me when I drove a Triber back in 2022, rear visibility was a bit annoying. Here, looks better. But hey, real road test will tell the truth.
Engine and Performance
Under the hood? 1.0-litre petrol. Both naturally aspirated and turbo versions. Manual, automatic expected both. Pricing? Should be competitive like the Triber. That’s the plan anyway. Turbo might feel peppier in city traffic. Mileage might drop a bit. Classic story: numbers on paper rarely match the road.
Interior and Cabin Vibes
Interior not fully revealed yet. But 3-row cabin, flexible seating layout sounds promising. Touchscreen infotainment, digital driver display, steering-mounted controls, all modern connectivity. Story time back in 2019, drove a compact MPV, touchscreen flawless at showroom. Took it home. Glitch central So yeah, software is tricky. Gravite better be smooth. Fingers crossed.

Launch and Production
Gravite is Nissan India’s first launch of 2026. Was supposed to be January 21, got postponed. Dealerships and deliveries expected by March. Chennai plant. Manufactured here, exported worldwide. Part of three-model plan Gravite, Tekton SUV, and a bigger three-row C-SUV. Exciting times.
Bottom line? Gravite looks good. Colours, design, features check. Engine, real-world feel check later. Family buyers, practical folks, keep it on your radar. Simple as that.
