To be honest, the Maruti Suzuki CNG car scene is quite interesting. After 10 years of experience with cars and driving on Indian roads, I can say these cars are very practical for city driving. And yes, the stress of fuel cost reduces a lot with the CNG variants, but it’s not all sugar-coated.

1. Maruti Suzuki WagonR CNG
The WagonR with CNG makes a small but effective city car. Honestly, the gasoline performance is remarkable and the engine feels smooth. The claimed variety is 500 km, however in real life, it generally stays round 400 km, at the least from my revel in.

The Celerio CNG inspired me quite a piece. Smooth equipment shifts and decent cabin space, both are there. Insider Perspective
Honestly, the USP of Maruti Suzuki’s CNG cars is city mileage and low running cost. But sometimes real-world mileage doesn’t match the company’s claims. Dealer and service center support is generally smooth, but minor hiccups can happen. From my experience, a software glitch once made the odometer slightly inaccurate, but the service center fixed it quickly. And one more thing with CNG setup, boot space is slightly compromised. Noticeable in WagonR and Alto, better managed in Ertiga.
Final Take
To be straight, if you want a budget-friendly, fuel-efficient car for city driving, Maruti Suzuki CNG variants are very practical options. Pickup and real-world range might have slight compromises, but overall ownership experience is smooth. My personal tip: take a long test drive, experience both city and highway driving, only then make your decision.
