Tata Harrier EV Review: Features, Range & Performance

Tata Harrier EV: All you need to know about Tata's electric SUV

Design and Exterior:
The Harrier EV looks a lot like the diesel model, but there are a few changes that make it stand out. At the front, there is a closed grille with LED DRLs, which looks quite futuristic. The top variant gets large, 19-inch alloy wheels that give it a premium feel.
New shades - such as matte black and Nainital nocturne - make it even more stunning.

Where it can be improved:
There are no changes to the front and rear
Limited colour options

Interior and Fittings:
The space is also very good, the technology also gives a premium feel as soon as you enter the cabin. Especially the white-grey theme of the Empowered trim looks very elegant. The floating touchscreen, glossy controls and soft-touch materials make it even more stunning.

Attention has also been paid to the rear seats. At the back, there are AC vents, sun blinds, cup holders and headrests.

What I liked:
High-quality interior
Excellent facilities for rear passengers
There's plenty of space everywhere

Where there is room for improvement:
The floor is a bit high, which makes the Thai support feel a bit low
Headroom can be tight for long-distance drivers
The quality of some buttons could have been better at this price range

Features:
The Harrier EV is built for those who don't compromise on features. In it you will find:

  • 14.5-inch large QLED touchscreen with support for OTT apps

  • 10-speaker JBL sound system with Dolby Atmos

  • Ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, and voice command

  • 360° camera, ADAS, and 7 airbags

What I liked:
Awesome display and performance
Awesome music experience
Advanced technology for safety, such as 'Transparent View'

It could have been a little better:
The 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster feels small in front of the main screen
It would have been nice to have wireless charging or an entertainment screen on the back

Battery and Performance:
The powerful, no-noise Harrier EV comes in two battery options:

  • 65kWh - The claimed range: 550 km

  • 75kWh - The claimed range: 627 km
In fact, you will get a range of 400-500 km, which is also good for long drives.

As for the performance:

  • 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds – It's a lot faster than an SUV!

  • The base variant comes with RWD (rear-wheel drive)

  • The top variant, the Empowered +, gets AWD (all-wheel drive), which is best for off-roading

Ride Quality and Handling:
Comfortable, but fun – Tata has fine-tuned the suspension of the EV version. The car is stable even on bumpy roads. It is easy to drive in the city and the steering is also light.

What I liked:
Comfortable ride even on bad roads
Stable even at high speeds
The inside of the room is filled with peaceful... No noise, no vibration.

Result: Who is this car for?
If you want a premium, electric SUV that's stylish, powerful and ready for off-roading – the Harrier EV is a great choice.

Why do you want to buy:
Awesome design and great range
Advanced features and security
Excellent performance both in the city and on the highway

Who needs to think about:
Which requires a very long driving headroom
Or those who want more colors and features even in the base variant
