Engines? Same as before. 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI petrols. Six-speed manual standard. Eight-speed torque converter automatic and seven-speed DCT optional. I took the eight-speed automatic for a spin. City traffic. Smooth. Refined. But mileage… let’s be real, city will give 14-15 kmpl. Highway slightly better, maybe 17-ish. Not the claimed 18-19. Been there, seen that.

Funny thing, last year I drove a base automatic variant, small software hiccup. Gear hesitation. Warranty fixed it, but I thought, hmm, these glitches always pop up when you least expect. So, Skoda making both automatic and sunroof available in the base variant? Clever move. Real buyers feel it. Small features, big impression.
