Renault Duster Deliveries Begin in India – First Units Hit Roads

Renault India has finally started rolling out its new SUV across the country. And yes, the deliveries are live now. At the moment, only turbo-petrol variants are being handed over to customers, while the hybrid version is still a few months away, expected around November 2026. The mid-size SUV space? It just got a bit more interesting. Again.

The SUV was revealed earlier this year on 26 January, and pricing came in March. Since then, excitement was building slowly and now it’s real. The first batches are out. Renault Duster delivery is happening, but in a controlled way. Dealers hint at rising demand already. And yes, waiting times might stretch for top variants. No surprise there.

Pricing feels aggressive, bookings already picking up

Let’s talk money. The new Duster starts at ₹10.29 lakh (R Pass customers), while regular pricing begins at ₹10.49 lakh. Goes all the way up to ₹18.49 lakh. Not cheap. But not crazy either, considering what it offers. Multiple trims are on sale Authentic, Evolution, Techno, Techno Plus, Iconic, and Launch Edition. Quite a lineup.

And people are reacting. Duster bookings are picking up pace, especially in metro cities. There’s curiosity, there’s hype and also a bit of nostalgia. The new Duster India comeback is clearly hitting the right chord with SUV buyers who wanted something rugged again.

Features list feels loaded, almost overpacked

Step inside and it doesn’t feel like the old Duster at all. Big change. You get a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital cluster, and even a panoramic sunroof. Yes, sunroof in a Duster. Times have changed. There are ventilated seats, powered tailgate, and more comfort features thrown in. Almost feels like Renault said let’s just add everything.

Safety is also upgraded with Level 2 ADAS, which is a big deal in this price bracket. The SUV now fits properly into the mid-size SUV segment, not just by size but by tech too. Turbo-petrol engine is doing duty for now, while hybrid will join later. That should change the game again.

Competition is tough, waiting period might stretch soon

Now the tricky part. Competition. And it’s heavy. The new Duster goes straight against Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq. Big names Big fight.

Early reports suggest Renault SUV delivery India may face slight pressure as demand builds. Nothing unusual for a fresh launch though. Dealers are already warning about rising Duster waiting period, especially for top variants. And honestly, it makes sense. People are showing interest again. The Duster name still has weight. Maybe more than expected. So yeah, it’s back. Not loud. But steady. And that might be enough this time.
