And people are reacting. Duster bookings are picking up pace, especially in metro cities. There’s curiosity, there’s hype and also a bit of nostalgia. The new Duster India comeback is clearly hitting the right chord with SUV buyers who wanted something rugged again.
Features list feels loaded, almost overpacked
Step inside and it doesn’t feel like the old Duster at all. Big change. You get a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital cluster, and even a panoramic sunroof. Yes, sunroof in a Duster. Times have changed. There are ventilated seats, powered tailgate, and more comfort features thrown in. Almost feels like Renault said let’s just add everything.
Safety is also upgraded with Level 2 ADAS, which is a big deal in this price bracket. The SUV now fits properly into the mid-size SUV segment, not just by size but by tech too. Turbo-petrol engine is doing duty for now, while hybrid will join later. That should change the game again.

Competition is tough, waiting period might stretch soon
Now the tricky part. Competition. And it’s heavy. The new Duster goes straight against Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq. Big names Big fight.
Early reports suggest Renault SUV delivery India may face slight pressure as demand builds. Nothing unusual for a fresh launch though. Dealers are already warning about rising Duster waiting period, especially for top variants. And honestly, it makes sense. People are showing interest again. The Duster name still has weight.
