The first time I visited the showroom, an uncle was telling me boy they brought the first XUV too, and the seat adjustment was a bit tight. That very thought came back when I saw the XUV 7XO it claims spaciousness, but the real feel will only come on a test drive.
Design and Exterior
Mahindra has taken some bold steps in design. The front grille and LED headlamps combo look quite aggressive. But honestly, the door alignment and panel gaps seem a bit inconsistent compared to expectations. I remember once during a Bolero test drive, the side mirrors were vibrating, which was annoying those small details will also be crucial in the 7XO. Overall, street presence is strong, and once on the road, people will definitely notice it.

Engine, Power, and Performance
The company claims a combination of power and fuel efficiency. But from my 10 years of experience, Mahindra’s past models made the same claims and in real-world usage, mileage and performance were slightly lower. Honestly, the real feel of acceleration and handling on highways will only come after a test drive. Also, the suspension setup seems like a compromise for both city and highway you’ll feel a bit of bounce on rough roads.

Interior and Features
The cabin comes with a modern infotainment system, but you need to be alert about software glitches. A small anecdote \during a demo of another SUV, the screen froze and the dealer said It will be fine after a software update. That scene came to mind when I saw the XUV 7XO interface. Seating comfort and material quality are decent, but some minor tweaks are needed by luxury SUV standards. Also, the storage layout feels a bit confusing initially.

Safety and Technology
The safety claims are strong multiple airbags, stability control, and advanced braking system included. But in practical driving, the system sometimes feels over-sensitive. I remember a test drive where the ABS reacted slightly late, and such small issues can impact long-term trust. Technology features like ADAS and connected apps look promising, but their real-world usability will only be clear after the first ride.

But honestly, the final on-road price and variant options mean that Rs. 21,000 is just a glimpse the real investment will be clear after delivery. Dealer network and service quality also play a big role, otherwise long-term ownership might be a bit challenging.
From my experience, the Mahindra XUV 7XO looks like a promising SUV it has an edge in design and features, but software quirks, real-world mileage, and minor fit-and-finish issues need attention. To be straight, if you want a mix of thrill and brand loyalty, opening bookings could make sense, but keeping expectations realistic is important.
