Mahindra Thar Roxx A New Era of Tough Meets Tech
Mahindra Thar Rocks is the perfect SUV for adventure lovers—featuring powerful performance, bold design, modern features, and true off-road capability to dominate every terrain across India.
Mahindra Thar Roxx The off-roading revolution of a new era
Whenever it comes to off-road adventure, the Mahindra Thar’s name naturally springs to mind. Now Mahindra has made this legend even more attractive by introducing the Rocks Edition of the Thar. Thar Rocks is not only powerful in appearance, but also exciting with its engine, suspension and technology.
The exterior look of the Thar Roxx is extremely robust and modern.
Front grille: Offers exciting looks with a black finish.
Headlamp: Bisexual projector headlamps with LED DRLs give better visibility and attractive appearance.
Wheel Arcs: With wide plastic trim, which protect the vehicle from stone or bushfire.
Wheels: The 17-inch alloy wheels also underline the Thar’s off-road ability.
Colour options: The Rocks Edition is available in bold colours like Grey, Black and Ravy Red, which leave a fiery mark on the road.
Talking about the interior and comfort, modernity has also been taken care of in Thar Rocks.
Seats: The dual-tone red and black theme features sporty leatherlit seats that offer ample support even on long journeys.
Dashboard: Red stitching, red ring on cabin air vents and black texture board combination gives a lively ambience.
Infotainment: It features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Website navigation and rear parking cameras also add to the convenience.
Console: The mid-console includes a wireless charging pad and a large cupholder.
Performance and Engine Options
The Mahindra Thar Roxx gets two major engine options:
-
The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol produces 150 bhp and 300 Nm of torque.
-
The 2.2-litre diesel engine produces 130 bhp and 300 Nm of torque.
Both engines are available with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions.
The 4x4 system: With a high and low range gearbox, which gives excellent grip even on difficult roads.
Suspension: Double wishbone at the front and 5-link setup at the rear, which maintains stability in off-road concrete and potholes.
The off-road capability has long been the Thar’s credo in off-roading, and the Rocks Edition reinforces it even further.
Ground Clearance: From a height of 226 mm, rough paths can be crossed easily.
Approach and Departure Angle: Sharp fluctuations from angles of 41° and 36°, respectively, also did not pose a challenge.
Water Wading: No clicking sound or engine stalling even in water up to 650 mm. Truly an adventure car.
Security and Technology
Thar Rocks does not lag behind in security:
-
Dual airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, hill hold and hill descent control.
-
Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and rear parking sensors make parking easier.
-
The infotainment system retains connectivity with callback assist, voice commands, and Bluetooth connectivity.
Fuel efficiency and mileage
