Their next electric vehicle? Not coming until 2027. Yeah, a bit of a delay from the earlier plan of October 2026. This will be the production version of the BE.07 concept, first revealed in August 2022. Inside the company, it’s called B07. Excited? You should be.

The BE.07 is bigger than the BE 6. Around 4.6 meters long. It’s the second vehicle in Mahindra’s BE series and the fourth born-electric vehicle after XEV 9e, BE 6, and XEV 9S. This one is aimed straight at Tata Harrier EV and Vinfast VF7. A bold move. Very bold.

Mahindra BE.07 Design and Features

So, what’s the vibe? BE.07 looks familiar but a little calmer than BE 6 or XEV 9e. Traditional SUV body. 5-seater cabin. Inside, triple screens. Loads of tech. But maybe just maybe Mahindra will add some physical buttons this time. People love that.

Battery options 60kWh to 80kWh. Platform INGLO, same as current EVs. Expect edgy lighting, safety sensors, and fast charging. Mahindra clearly wants BE.07 to be a big seller. Makes sense. Tech plus practicality always a good combo.

Sales and Market Strategy

Rajesh Jejurikar, CEO of Mahindra & Mahindra, didn’t hold back. BE.07 will be a big volume driver. Currently, Mahindra sells around 4,000 EVs a month. Their goal? 6,000–7,000 units. Ambitious? Totally. Achievable? Maybe. EV growth has slowed a little. Only time will tell.

Mahindra’s Plans for 2026

2026? Quiet on new EVs. After XEV 9S in late 2025 and XUV 3XO EV in January, no major EV launches. But not all still. Facelifts for ICE models are coming. Scorpio N mid-cycle refresh. Thar updates too. Few details yet, but fans are curious. Existing EVs will get tweaks better batteries, faster charging. Classic Mahindra: keep EV momentum alive, no matter what.
