Kia Syros EV Price, Range & Launch Date in India (2026)
Don't Buy ANY EV Until You See the Kia Syros EV – Here's Why
India, are you ready?
Kia is gearing up to introduce what could be a game-changer in the EV segment—the Kia Syros EV. Based on the much-loved Syros subcompact SUV, this new all-electric variant is making some big promises. But does it truly have what it takes to redefine affordable electric mobility for India’s young, tech-savvy crowd?

Mark your calendars: Launch in early 2026!
If you are like us, you will be eagerly waiting for this. After the successful production of the Syros EV, its electric avatar is also coming soon. We expect its launch to take place in early 2026, possibly around February. Get ready, because a new era of urban mobility is about to unfold before our eyes!
Priced to Perfection: ₹14-20 Lakh (Ex-showroom)
Priced at ₹14-20 lakh (ex-showroom), the Syros EV gives tough competition to electric giants like the Tata Nexon EV. Starting at ₹14 lakh, this premium electric makes driving even more accessible, although its top-end price may give mixed reviews. Still, its starting price is extremely attractive.

Impressive features:
Stunning design and robust platform:
The Syros EV retains the bold "Design 2.0" aesthetic that we love from its ICE model—that confident, upright stance, signature LED lighting, and sleek flush door handles. Plus, it also gets Hyundai's new K1 platform. This dedicated EV architecture (shared with the Hyundai Inster/Casper EV) promises a seamless, front-wheel-drive experience, making this EV feel just as nimble and practical as its petrol version. Its smart engineering keeps costs low without compromising on the Syros' original charm.
Range:
This is a big problem for many potential EV buyers. Kia is planning two lithium-ion battery options: a ~42 kWh and a larger ~49 kWh pack. The bigger car is estimated to deliver an impressive WLTP range of 355 km, which could translate to a very practical mileage of 350-380 km in real Indian conditions. While real-world range always varies with driving style and conditions, these figures are certainly reassuring and should comfortably cover most everyday commutes and even inter-city trips.
Sharp performance for the city and beyond:
With power up to 113 bhp and an estimated 250-310 Nm of instant electric torque, the Syros EV will not disappoint. We are talking responsive acceleration and agile handling that will make navigating city traffic a breeze and highway cruising surprisingly engaging. This is not a performance car, but it promises to be a real rage.
Fast charging:
Charging can make or break the EV experience, and the Syros EV is well equipped for it. With around 120 kW DC fast charging, you can charge from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes. That's a big difference for long trips. Plus, the standard 11 kW AC onboard charger is perfect for charging at home overnight. And the best part is: V2L (vehicle-to-load) capability means your car can power your gadgets and even small appliances, adding a fantastic level of utility.

Luxury Meets Tech:
A pampering cabin: Stepping inside, you're greeted with a world of innovation borrowed from the ICE Syros. Two 12.3-inch digital displays for instrumentation and infotainment, a stunning panoramic sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and a Harman Kardon audio system are just the beginning. But what's the real highlight? Segment-first reclining, sliding, and ventilated rear seats! Yes, you read that right. This level of rear seat comfort is almost unheard of in this segment, a thoughtful touch that will be very popular in India.
Safety features:
Kia Syros EV has been rated 5-star by Bharat NCAP rating. A full Level-2 ADAS suite (including adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist), six airbags, and electronic stability control (ESC) provide a comprehensive safety net.
