Honda has launched two new motorcycles in the Indian market on the occasion of its 25th anniversaryHonda CB125 Hornet and Shine 100 DX. Both these bikes come with affordable price, great features and reliable engine in their respective segments. While the CB125 Hornet is designed for youth and street bikers, the Shine 100 DX is a great option for domestic consumers and daily commute.

Design and Features

The design of the CB125 Hornet is muscular and sporty. It has twin LED headlights, attractive tank design and aggressive body graphics. Apart from this, the bike has a 4.2-inch color TFT display that supports smart features like Bluetooth connectivity, call and message alerts, and turn-by-turn navigation.

It also has safety features like USB Type-C charging port, single channel ABS, and side-stand engine cut-off.

Engine and Performance

The CB125 Hornet has a 123.94cc air-cooled, fuel-injected engine, which generates about 11 bhp of power and 11.2 Nm of torque. This engine is OBD2B and E20 fuel ready, which has been designed according to the environmental standards of the future.

The Shine 100 DX has a new chrome finish headlight cowl, improved body graphics and longer seat. Apart from this, the bike now gets black-finished alloy wheels and front fender, which gives it a more premium look.

Engine and Mileage

It has a 98.98cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces about 7.5 bhp of power and 8.04 Nm of torque. This engine is E20 fuel compliant and comes with a 4-speed gearbox. The company claims that this bike can give mileage of 65 to 70 km per liter.

Safety and Features

The Shine 100 DX has features like Combi-Brake System (CBS), side-stand engine cut-off and long and comfortable seat. It also has an LCD digital display, which provides useful data like mileage, range and service reminder.
