A small memory here At a Hero media event an Xpulse test bike had a strange knocking sound from the rear suspension The mechanic casually said It happens sometimes no issue That sentence has stayed in my mind for a long time The Xtreme 125R suspension sits somewhere between sporty and city friendly Good grip during cornering but sharp potholes hit harder The Hornet feels more balanced It does not surprise you or punish you For everyday commuting its behaviour is simply more peaceful

Hero packed extra features a bold instrument cluster LED lighting and wider tyres The only issue is the cluster visibility in harsh sunlight Sometimes it is clear sometimes it just fades out Honda kept the feature list simple but everything works reliably CBS is well tuned braking feel is stronger and the overall confidence is higher

After riding countless bikes over the last decade I have realised one thing the machines that show less drama usually stay loyal longer The Xtreme 125R looks great and rides well but my instinct still leans towards the Hornet But if you are on a tight budget and style is your top priority the Xtreme 125R still offers very strong value
