Skoda’s popular sedan, the Slavia, is all set to get its first major facelift soon. Recently, the updated model was spied testing, giving us a clear idea of what changes and new features to expect. Let’s take a closer look at what’s coming.
New Design and Exterior Updates
According to the latest spyshots, the 2026 Skoda Slavia facelift will undergo minor cosmetic changes to keep it fresh. Up front, there’s a new bumper with a larger lower air dam, giving the car a more aggressive look. The LED headlights will feature updated internals along with integrated lighting elements in the revised grille.
The side profile remains almost identical, but new alloy wheels and a refreshed colour palette will set it apart. At the rear, there’s a connected LED taillamp cluster and slight revisions to the bumper, inspired by the SUV Kushaq facelift.
Interior and Features
Inside, the cabin retains the black and beige dashboard layout. The facelift model comes with a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, similar to the Kushaq facelift. The infotainment system now features a 10.1-inch screen with AI assistant support.
Additional features include rear massaging seats, dual-colour ambient lighting, and the new digital cluster, giving the car a premium feel. However, the test mule did not feature a panoramic sunroof, suggesting that the facelift will continue with a single-pane unit. Safety equipment includes 6 airbags, ESC, HHA, tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, and all-wheel disc brakes.
Powertrain and Performance
The facelifted model will continue with the 1-litre and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines. The 1-litre engine now comes with an 8-speed AT, while the 1.5-litre engine continues with a 7-speed DCT. Power and torque are expected as follows:
1-litre TSI: 115 PS, 178 Nm
1.5-litre TSI: 150 PS, 250 Nm
These upgrades promise smoother shifting and a refined driving experience, making it suitable for both city and highway drives.
Launch Date, Expected Price, and Rivals
Skoda is expected to launch the Slavia facelift in the fourth quarter of 2026, between October and December. Prices are likely to range from ₹12 lakh to ₹20 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Slavia will compete with other sedans like the Volkswagen Virtus, Honda City, and Hyundai Verna. With its updated features and performance, this facelifted model is expected to be a strong contender in its segment.
